I help hurting, struggling, and disconnected couples heal and find each other again. Couples that want to work with me include those stuck in patterns of destructive reactivity, couples in crisis hoping to save their relationship, disconnected couples lacking intimacy, couples struggling with past betrayals and violations, and couples struggling to align on core relationship expectations. As a long-time, partnered parent who has experienced the challenges of raising little ones and launching college-bound teens, I also offer support to parents and children struggling to connect.
My individual clients want to address family of origin grief and attachment injuries, anxiety, perfectionism, identity exploration, abuse recovery, and post-divorce transitions. I understand and see all client distress through an attachment lens; there are deep, underlying attachment longings and fears driving painful and destructive patterns of behavior.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy as a framework, along with somatic interventions and IFS-informed parts work to organize complex, layered emotions, I help foster corrective experiences for my clients to create secure attachment and heal how they relate to themselves and to those they love.
