All you need is a private, comfortable space, good Internet access, and an electronic device with a camera. Hands-free is preferred, so we recommend a computer. All video sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant portal. You can access sessions via any web browser. Typically, your Internet is good to go if you can stream videos without any issues.
Hi! My name is Jana! I'm happy you're here and finding the right therapist for you! I will tell you a little about myself, so you can decide if we may be a good fit. If so, let's rock n' roll! I'm a LISW-S and enjoy working with several different kinds of people. My specialties include people with an intellectual disability or related condition, borderline personality disorder, people involved with family court, behavioral issues, narcissism and sociopathy, domestic and psychological violence, and challenging divorces. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I love to get to know the people I'm working with, so I can assist them the best I can. I take pride in my ability to encourage people to be their authentic selves, which often opens up many conversations that need to occur. I'm problem-focused and often take a very behavioral approach; I like to help you break down the issues so we can attempt to get to the bottom of what's actually happening. My therapy sessions are conversation-led, with prompting and questions from me. I like for us to explore all sides of our topic, so I often offer alternative viewpoints, but that's just me wanting to make you think! Jana is currently accepting new child, teen, adult, and EAP clients. Please call or email for scheduling.

How can you provide care remotely?
I use a secure online EMR system known as "Simple Practice" that offers high quality video for teletherapy and other forms of communication with therapy clients. Clients can use this portal to receive documents and communicate with me in a safe and secure way. I also provide secure phone therapy for clients who prefer that mode of communication.
Hello and bienvenue! I work with a diverse clientele and specialize in providing social justice oriented psychotherapy to people of color, as well as members of LGBTQIA+ communities. I provide culturally responsive therapy, which focuses on the strengths that you already have. I tend to use an Interpersonal Process theoretical approach (IPT) as well as a cognitive-behavioral theoretical approach (CBT) while also paying attention to your environment and access to social support. I work with you to build a safe space where you can share your experiences without the fear of being judged, and where you can focus on becoming clear about what you want, and how you want to go about making that happen. I believe that it is important to build a strong therapeutic relationship, as well as paying close attention to what is happening for you in-the-moment. I find it helpful to work to understand the different values and beliefs that we bring into the room, and how these worldviews might affect our interactions with each other. Understanding how your thoughts are related to your behaviors can empower and help you to actively account for your reality. You can use this insight to make the changes that will be necessary to live life more healthily.
