Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
My passion for mental health care stems from years of working with critically ill and psychiatric patients. Seeing the profound impact that compassionate care can have on someone's life motivates me to continue. I strive to provide a safe space for individuals to heal, grow, and achieve balance in their mental health.
Hello, I’m Rubin Joseph, a compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 17 years of experience in healthcare, based in Florida. I hold a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Nova Southeastern University, graduating with highest honors. I specialize in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia using a holistic approach that includes both medication and psychotherapy. My diverse background includes working in intensive care and psychiatric settings, allowing me to understand the complexity of mental health challenges. I am fluent in English, French, and Creole, and proficient in Spanish, ensuring culturally competent care for every patient. My mission is to empower individuals on their mental health journey and provide the support they need to achieve wellness and balance in their lives. Treatment philosophy: I believe that mental health treatment should be tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Whether through psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of both, we will collaborate to find the best approach for you. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment where you feel heard and empowered from our very first session. Together, we’ll work to confront your challenges and build a path toward lasting mental health improvement.
