Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I was a college faculty for 25 years and when I decided to retire I decided to try something that had always been of interest to me while I was teaching. A few years before I retired, I started taking counseling classes and completed a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2014. I became independently licensed in 2016 after completing a 2 year internship period. I very much like the process of helping someone grow and develop and find their own path for their future.
I am a licensed professional counselor with my home in Upland, California. I am licensed in California, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico and am currently doing remote counseling only. I have experience in addiction, trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, anger management and life transitions. I am multi-culturally sensitive and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I was born in El Paso, Texas and both my parents are Mexican-American. I moved to California in 2021 after living in Arizona for 30 years. I am bilingual Spanish-English and can provide therapy services in Spanish. My graduate education includes a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in Experimental Psychology from Arizona State University (1989) and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling (2014) from Ottawa University. Before I entered the counseling profession, I was residential faculty at Phoenix College teaching classes in Psychology, Sociology and Women's Studies for 25 years.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I felt led by the Holy Spirit to pursue my education as both a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner while simultaneously caring for my child with special needs. This experience has motivated me to practice my profession, as I have gained valuable insights along the way.
Greetings! I'm Dr. Juliette Osborne, your dedicated healthcare partner on the journey to well-being. With a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and dual board certification as a Family Nurse (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP-BC) Practitioner, I bring 15 years of holistic healthcare experience to the table. My calling, guided by the Holy Spirit, led me to found PJO Health Services, LLC, where we prioritize comprehensive, personalized, and compassionate care. Our integrated approach covers wellness assessments, medication management, substance use disorder treatment, and psychotherapeutic support, ensuring we address the root causes of mental health challenges. As a mother with a special needs child, I understand the importance of empathy and practical care. At PJO Health Services, our core values of convenience, flexibility, reliability, and integrity drive our mission. We're not just a medical practice; we're a community fostering balanced lives, wellness, and health management. Technology meets compassion in our practice, offering telemedicine for convenience, as well as concierge health services through home visits and on-site appointments. I've faced life's challenges head-on, from job loss to personal struggles, and emerged as an ordained Reverend Minister and Family Nurse Practitioner. I've recently achieved my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, channeling my knowledge into establishing the Rev. Juliette Osborne Outreach Foundation (RJOOF). This non-profit foundation aims to support those navigating their God-driven purpose, offering a helping hand through life's challenges. Embark on this healthcare journey with PJO Health Services.
