Jasmine graduated with her bachelor’s degree in both psychology and criminal justice from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, where she is from. There, Jasmine grew a passion for learning about substance misuse and how it affects the adolescent population at large. Jasmine graduated with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas in San Antonio and completed her internship at Rise Recovery, which serves adolescents receiving recovery-related support. Jasmine has the experience and clinical interest in topics relating to trauma, anxiety, addiction, mindfulness, post-traumatic growth, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, positive psychology, and eating disorders. Jasmine is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for her clients and loves advocating for multicultural issues. Jasmine works great with adolescent populations, minorities, and those in recovery from addiction or other addictive behaviors. She loves advocating for physical wellbeing via mindfulness, exercise, and practicing gratitude.
