Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I have always enjoyed helping others and being an encouragement to others during challenging times. It is something I always wanted to do since I was a young girl. I enjoy the dyad of art and science of therapy. It is part science and part art form. Every client is unique and each session is different. Therapy is built off of relationship building, building trust, creating a safe space, leaning into the uncomfortable-it is really rewarding to help others along that process and it keeps me in check to practice my own grounding and mindfulness skills.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in GA whose telehealth practice offers a nonjudgmental and safe environment for anyone who is seeking insight, interactive feedback, or growth on their journey. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, phobias, OCD, and life transitions and grief. I strive to support you on your journey by the use of cognitive techniques, mindfulness, and healthy coping strategies. I prefer to work along with my client collaboratively to have a strong therapeutic alliance and a safe space for you to feel comfortable in. I approach therapy through an integrative lens and tailoring treatment to each individual client.  My work is grounded in cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and exposure and response prevention theories. I specialize in working with adults. Please reach out and I would love to help guide you in making positive changes in your life.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to address the critical need for mental health care and to bridge the gap between physical and mental health. My motivation comes from seeing the positive impact of compassionate, holistic care on my patients' lives and helping them achieve a more positive life journey.
Hello, I have been in the nursing field for over 35 years. I graduated with my RN BSN from Bellin College of Nursing in 1989 and have worked to in several areas of care along with many states. I have worked in ICU, surgery, endocrinology, long term and short term rehab, and psychiatric care in residential, hospital and outpatient. I enjoy working with pre-teens through adults. I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree at South University in Savannah, Georgia in 2018 and went right back to Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri for my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. I was married to a US Marine and lived in many states including Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, and Florida all of which I hope to incorporate into my practice to provide care in those states too. While in Michigan I earned a degree in American Sign Language. I enjoy spending time with my two daughters. One lives close in Sarasota, FL and my other lives in Kona, HI. My goal this year is to explore more of Florida! In my free time I do like to travel, sew, knit, do epoxy pens and tumblers, and paint on sand dollars I collect at different beaches. I believe that life is a journey and we will come to many crossroads. It is how you handle the decisions made that can make life positive or negative and I hope that with my care you will have success in having life be a more positive journey.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
One of my passions as a therapist is helping people overcome their challenges, and improve their mental well-being. I do my best to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their feelings and struggles without judgment. My motivation as a therapist is witnessing the progress my clients have made and that I was able to provide what they were looking for. The amount of progress clients have made continues to inspire me.
Today's world is too often scary and overwhelming. For many of us, learning to function & adapt in life as a child, teen or young adult is confusing & difficult. These challenges lead to feeling lonely, frustrated or hopeless. Through our work together, you will become confident in yourself, begin to not just 'get by', but thrive. You will begin to experience a life where being you is more than good enough. Unavoidable challenges become opportunities & you gain control of the most important area, yourself. Working together, you will become equipped to navigate day to day life & the unexpected, emerging stronger, smarter & happier. I am passionate about helping children, teens & young adults understand their emotions through play therapy & cognitive behavior therapy, within a family systems approach. I have valuable experience helping children and families deal with grief, behavioral issues, stress, depression, trauma, & school-related issues. Working with Wellspring Therapeutic Partners means I regularly consult with our team of prescribers and psychologists who specialize in a variety of areas. I can provide seamless referrals for medication management, psychological testing, therapy for loved ones or other household members, groups & EMDR services as needed and appropriate.
