For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Seeking therapy for the first time or trying therapy again after a not so successful attempt can be scary and difficult. It is understandable to be cautious of trying therapy. Ultimately, it is YOUR time and a safe place for YOU to be yourself and work with me on living your best life. Coming to see me does not mean you have to have "crazy" issues to attend or that it must be forever. Therapy is in your pace. We can work slowly towards goals if that feels safer.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in GA whose telehealth practice offers a nonjudgmental and safe environment for anyone who is seeking insight, interactive feedback, or growth on their journey. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, phobias, OCD, and life transitions and grief. I strive to support you on your journey by the use of cognitive techniques, mindfulness, and healthy coping strategies. I prefer to work along with my client collaboratively to have a strong therapeutic alliance and a safe space for you to feel comfortable in. I approach therapy through an integrative lens and tailoring treatment to each individual client.  My work is grounded in cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and exposure and response prevention theories. I specialize in working with adults. Please reach out and I would love to help guide you in making positive changes in your life.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Take the leap. I've experienced that feeling of hesitancy when asking a stranger to walk alongside me on my journey of self-discovery and healing. You may experience feelings of doubt - doubt about yourself and the therapeutic process; however, you don't have to feel hopeful about the future, it's enough to just be curious about what is coming.
If you have been traumatized in the past, by a relationship, an incident, an accident, something that seems unforgivable and unmanageable to you, even now, I can help. If you find yourself experiencing emotional pain, hopelessness and loss of connectedness, I can help. I can help by helping you to begin to treasure yourself, first for surviving, and eventually for learning to flourish, through good times and bad. I can help by providing you a safe and supportive space to let your mind wonder and find answers to your inner most questions about yourself and your experiences, whether past or present. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am also certified in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. My areas of clinical expertise include addiction, mental health court, personality disorders, crisis and trauma, and psychotic disorders. If you are interested in making the investment in yourself to begin counseling, I offer a free 30-minute initial session. This initial session will provide you with the opportunity to have your questions answered about the therapy process and get a feel for how I am as a therapist. I am also available by email to answer any questions.
